The Minister of Communications, during his visit to Yazd, simultaneously inaugurated the fiber-optic (FTTX) projects of Pishgaman Tose’e Ertebatat in Ardakan County and the city of Shahedieh, Yazd.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, while praising Pishgaman, said:
“Pishgaman is a company with a strong track record, and God willing, it will shine in the development of fiber optics as well.”
Dr. Sattar Hashemi emphasized:
“In the matter of fiber optics in Yazd Province—with Pishgaman at the center—the case is clear for us, since the company is Yazd-based, fiber is produced in Yazd, and the Governor of Yazd is giving the necessary attention.”
He added:
“I hope we will witness positive developments in the near future in the field of fiber-optic communications in Yazd Province, which is a driver of the country’s digital economy.”
At the commissioning ceremony, the CEO of Pishgaman Tose’e Ertebatat said:
“Pishgaman Tose’e Ertebatat is the local operator for Yazd Province and the operator committed to implementing fiber optics in this province.”
Masoud Bamanipour added:
“In the city of Yazd, 110,000 households are covered by the fiber-optic network.”
He noted:
“With the continued rollout of fiber coverage in Yazd city, we will reach a total of 240,000 households—more than 80% of all households in the province.”
The Governor of Yazd, referring to the goals of the “Sustainable Yazd” project, said:
“One of the objectives in the communications sector is to develop several advanced services companies—such as in ICT, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and similar fields—so they become and are introduced among the ten highest-income companies in the province.”
