According to the Public Relations Department of the Pishgaman Union, the CEO and board members of the Chabahar Free Zone Organization and the Central Pars Plateau Water Supply Cooperative visited the Pishgaman Asr Ertebatat Production Cooperative and the Pishgaman Dry Port.
Mohammad Saeed Arbabi, CEO of the Chabahar Free Zone Organization, stated during a meeting on the sidelines of the visit:
“The idea of establishing the Pishgaman Dry Port is extremely valuable.”
He continued, “Even more valuable is involving the people in this project — something that is often neglected in our country, as we typically fail to engage the public in major economic ventures.”
Arbabi added that with small public investments, large-scale projects can be accomplished:
“Such ideas not only generate economic benefits for the people but also increase public satisfaction. Therefore, they should be further supported.”
Referring to his visit to the Pishgaman Dry Port, he noted:
“We are pursuing two key objectives — import and export of goods through the dry port and their distribution across the country, as well as the transfer of imported goods from sea ports to the dry port for subsequent logistical processes.”
Mohammad Reza Rezaeinejad, CEO of the Pishgaman Specialized Infrastructure Union, explained the “Shareholding–Investor Cooperative Model,” stating that this plan is designed based on Article 44 of Iran’s Constitution, aiming to aggregate small-scale public capital alongside the managerial and financial capacity of entrepreneurs.
He added:
“In this model, citizens can participate in infrastructure projects with small investments and benefit from the added value, while project management remains with the entrepreneurs.”
Rezaeinejad emphasized that this model, by combining public interests with private sector expertise, facilitates the broad mobilization of public funds for major national projects and can foster effective cooperation among citizens, entrepreneurs, and the government.
During the meeting, Seyed Javad Hosseini-Azabadi, CEO of the Central Pars Plateau Water Supply Cooperative, stated:
“The Chabahar Free Zone is the only free zone in Iran connected to the mainland and directly linked to open seas.”
He noted that this strategic advantage has been underutilized, adding:
“This feature alone is sufficient to enable us to build national capacity through this free zone.”
At the end of the meeting, a tripartite memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Pishgaman Specialized Infrastructure Union, the Pishgaman Dry Port, and the Chabahar Free Zone Organization.
