Minister of ICT Emphasizes the Need to Regulate Postal Operators; Pishgaman Post Ready to Play a National Role

In a meeting between the Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and private postal operators, Sattar Hashemi emphasized the importance of organizing postal sector players, saying:

“We welcome the active participation of capable private companies; however, the current multiplicity and dispersion of operators require serious review and reorganization. Public satisfaction and service quality are the red lines of the 14th Administration.”

Hashemi also invited the private sector to participate in drafting the Comprehensive Postal Bill, calling for the establishment of a unified professional association of postal operators to pursue the industry’s shared interests and policy needs.

Later in the session, Mohammad Kazem Keshvarshahi, CEO of the Pishgaman Knowledge-Based Postal Cooperative Company (Public Joint Stock), highlighted the operator’s broad capabilities and said:

“Backed by the Pishgaman Cooperative Group and with substantial investments in modern infrastructure, Pishgaman Post is ready to play a leading role in enhancing the quality of postal services across the country.”

Keshvarshahi stressed the importance of competitive fairness between the public and private sectors, noting:

“We must distinguish between those who truly serve the people and those who do not. Any organization that delivers services sincerely and efficiently deserves the government’s support.”

He also called for ongoing engagement between the Ministry of ICT and postal operators, adding:

“With a dynamic young team and an extensive cooperative network, Pishgaman Post is fully prepared to contribute to the realization of Iran’s digital economy goals and the nationwide expansion of smart postal services.”
