According to the Public Relations Office of the Pishgaman Cooperative Union, a cooperation agreement was officially signed between the National Post Company of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pishgaman Post (ParsiPost) on October 8, coinciding with World Post Day. The agreement focuses on developing postal portability, utilizing shared infrastructural capacities, and expanding smart postal services.
The ceremony was attended by the First Vice President, the Minister of Information and Communications Technology, the CEO of the National Post Company, members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and a group of managers and experts from the communications sector.
In this event, Pishgaman Post (ParsiPost) participated as the representative of private postal operators. The company’s representative emphasized the need for close cooperation between the public and private sectors, highlighting the importance of joint investment in both software and hardware infrastructure and ensuring balanced conditions between licensed operators and other market participants.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed by Mohammad Ahmadi, Deputy Minister and CEO of the National Post Company, and Mohammad Kazem Keshvarshahi, CEO of Pishgaman Post (ParsiPost). The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between the National Post Company and licensed postal operators in the development of postal services and smart portability systems.
Speakers at the event also underlined the crucial role of knowledge-based companies and private sector participation in enhancing postal services and improving the country’s communication infrastructure.
Pishgaman Post (ParsiPost), as Iran’s only knowledge-based cooperative postal operator, has centered its activities on innovation in postal services, the development of digital technologies, and the advancement of the logistics value chain.
