Yazd's Pishgaman Dry Port Poised to Enhance Connectivity with China's Dry Port Network

Mehdi Farazi, Head of the China Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, referring to the strengthening of provincial diplomacy, stated: In a meeting with the managers of Yazd province, the latest status of cooperation between the province and China was discussed and exchanged. In a session with private sector activists, ways to increase interactions and trade between the parties were discussed.

He added: Economic activists expressed their concerns, issues, and business relations with China, and problems related to transportation and strengthening exports were discussed and interacted upon.

The Head of the China Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, referring to recent developments in the Strait of Hormuz and the Caspian Sea, clarified: These developments have had a significantly negative impact on maritime transport. To resolve some of these obstacles, good actions have been taken with the efforts of the railway and the Yazd dry port.

He stated: We are trying to use the capacity of Yazd dry port for direct communication with dry ports in China and to strengthen the railway route as a stable and sustainable alternative in the supply chain of raw materials and exports of the province.

Farazi expressed hope: With greater synergy, we can take significant steps to strengthen cooperation between Yazd and China.
