Five young water polo players from Yazd, including three current members of Pishgaman Yazd Water Polo Club and two former players from the club’s youth categories, have been invited to the training camp of Iran’s U18 national water polo team.

According to the head coach of Iran’s national youth water polo team, Mehran Biabani, Danial Fathollahi, Adel Dehghan, Mohammad Taha Tajnia, and Amirali Zare have been selected as the invited athletes from Yazd Province for this stage of the camp.

It is worth noting that Mehran Biabani, Mohammad Taha Tajnia, and Amirali Zare are currently playing for Pishgaman Yazd, while Danial Fathollahi and Adel Dehghan were also part of Pishgaman’s U16 squad last year.

This training camp is being held with the aim of identifying talented players and improving their technical and physical readiness for the upcoming Asian Youth Water Polo Championship, which will be hosted by Malaysia. The tournament also serves as the qualification stage for the World Youth Championship, further highlighting the importance of this preparation period.
