Booking containers became possible through Pishgaaman Dry Port after a memorandum of understanding was signed between Pishgaaman Dry Port and the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, reported the Public Relations of Pishgaaman Cooperative Group.
The MoU will enable the merchants and transportation companies to book containers and depot their containers through Pishgaaman Dry Port.
This will optimize the costs and help the merchant save more.
According to the MoU, the 8-hectare container terminal of the dry port will be used by the IRISL to unload and depot containers while as many as 500 containers will be provided by the IRISL in the fry port.
The MoU will also offer services including strip, stuffing, washing and transportation. The 700-hectare first phase consists of 8 hectares of customs yards, a 15,000-ton refrigerated warehouse as well as 10,000 square meters of covered warehouses. The phase was accomplished with an investment of 2,630 billion Iranian rials and has created direct employment for 190 people.
