The Pishgaman handball team’s coach said the handball players of Yazd are trying vigorously and concertedly to advance to the premier league.
According to the public relations department of Pishgaman cooperative group, Abolfazl Heidari said in an interview with ILNA that the Pishgaman handball team which plays in the 1st division could advance to the list of the country’s top 8 teams after a win in the last week’s match, two weeks before the end of group stage games and by scoring four wins without any defeat.
“The exemplary rapport and unity among the Pishgaman handball players and their steadfastness in the attempt to achieve success and advance to the premier league is admirable and a source of pride,” he added.
Heidari also described the Pishgaman club’s plans to strengthen its youth academies over the past 7 years as the main reason behind the presence of handball players from Yazd with high technical skills in the team.
“The constant activities of Pishgaman’s under-14, under-17 and under-20 handball teams in the past years helped many handball players be invited to the national team and also allowed the other handball teams in the province to enjoy such potential,” he explained.
